Dana L. Fleming
Associate General Counsel
Dana L. Fleming joined Tufts from the Massachusetts House of Representatives where she served as Deputy Chief Counsel for three years. In that role, Ms. Fleming drafted legislation and advised the House of Representatives on employment matters, contract negotiations and compliance work, including conflicts of interest.
Before joining the State House, Ms. Fleming spent six years in private practice where she specialized in labor and employment matters. Ms. Fleming represented a wide-range of clients, including many colleges and universities. At Seyfarth Shaw LLP, she litigated single plaintiff discrimination claims before the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination and in state and federal court. Ms. Fleming also represented employers in complex class action lawsuits involving hundreds of plaintiffs across multiple jurisdictions.
Ms. Fleming is a graduate of Princeton University, Boston College Law School and the Lynch School of Education.
